Do you want to start portraits in oil paints, but don't know where/how to begin?
Join us for a comprehensive portraiture workshop designed for all skill levels. This 6-hour, 2-day course will guide you through painting a portrait from a live model, without using the grid method or tracing. Open to all skill levels.
What you will learn:

Establishing Initial Form and Shape: Learn how to sketch the initial form and shape of the portrait.

Scale, Position, and Proportions: Understand the basics of scaling, positioning, and proportioning your portrait.

Drawing, Inking-In, and Underpainting: Master basic drawing techniques, inking in your sketch, and starting with the underpainting.

Study of Light: Gain insights into understanding shadows and highlights.

Color Mixing of Skin Tones: Explore color mixing for realistic skin tones, focusing on values and saturation.

Form Painting: Dive into advanced painting techniques, emphasizing the study of light, shadows, and highlights.
Please note that this workshop will cover basics like color theory/understanding as well.
